Snowbirds Over the CN Tower

On Monday, September 7, I headed to Sir Winston Churchill Park in Toronto to catch a special flyby by the Canadian Forces Snowbirds.

From the park, I had a clear view toward downtown and was able to capture the team as they passed alongside the CN Tower — one of those very Toronto moments I’d been hoping to photograph.

After seeing the Snowbirds perform at the Canadian International Air Show just two days earlier, it was especially nice to photograph them again from a completely different perspective. Instead of the CNE and Lake Ontario as the backdrop, this time Toronto’s skyline became part of the image.

I love how the formation lines up beside the CN Tower, with the smoke trails cutting across the muted September sky.
