Toronto After the January 25th Snowstorm

Snow has a way of changing familiar places. Brick buildings feel warmer. Footprints mark busy sidewalks. Plows continue clearing main roads while side streets remain narrow and snow-packed.

With temperatures staying this cold, the snow isn’t melting anytime soon. It will likely be weeks before things fully clear. In the meantime, the city moves through it — neighbours shovelling, storefronts reopening, pedestrians navigating snowbanks, and traffic slowly returning to normal.

I headed out to document the aftermath rather than the storm itself — focusing on how Toronto adapts in the days that follow.

For now, here’s the city under deep snow, in recovery mode.
